Why solar
Daylight and the view, without the glare
Solar fabric works like a screen. It takes the harsh edge off direct sun and keeps heat off the glass, while you still see the yard, the lake, or the street outside.

Kitchens
Keep the view while you cook
Cut the glare off counters and screens without shutting out the backyard.

Dining rooms
No squinting at dinner
Low evening sun stays soft across the table, and the view stays part of the room.

West-facing rooms
Tame the afternoon sun
Keep heat off the glass and the sofa out of the glare when the sun is lowest and strongest.
Know before you buy
Clear views by day, and what changes at night
Solar fabric works like a window screen. In daylight you see out and the glare is gone. After dark, with lights on inside, it’s see-through, so pair solar with a room that doesn’t need night privacy, or choose light filtering or blackout.

See out, lose the glare
You keep the view of the yard or the lake while harsh sun, glare, and heat on the glass are cut down.
At night, lights on
See-through after dark
Like a screen, solar fabric lets people see in once it’s dark outside and bright inside. Best for kitchens, sunrooms, and living spaces.

Good questions
Solar shade FAQ
The questions we hear most on the phone and in the showroom. Don’t see yours? Call (330) 674-2590 and ask the person who’ll build your shade.
Can people see in at night?
Yes. With lights on inside, solar shades are see-through after dark, much like a window screen. Where you need night privacy, choose light filtering or blackout instead.
Do solar shades help with heat?
Yes. They cut the sun before it warms the room, which helps most on west- and south-facing windows, while you keep the view outside.
Can I motorize solar shades?
Yes. Motorization is available on shades 19 inches wide and up, and one remote controls up to 15 shades.
How long does a solar shade take to arrive?
We build your shade in about 2 weeks, often sooner. Once it’s built, shipping takes 2 to 4 days.
What if I measure wrong?
Call us at (330) 674-2590 before you order and we’ll go over your numbers with you. Our measuring guide walks you through every step, and we look over every order before we cut it. If something still isn’t right when it arrives, call us and we’ll do what we can to help.
