Our story
It started with a window no box store shade would fit
In 2003, Ruth Yoder was remodeling her home and couldn’t find a store-bought shade that fit her tall, narrow windows. So she made her own: an easy-roll shade, built with tools from her father’s shop.
Word got around, and Creative Holmes grew from that first shade. Within a few years the business outgrew its first workroom, and in 2007 it moved into a 10,000-square-foot building on State Route 39 with the showroom and the workroom under one roof.
The same building also turns out custom covers for boats, grills, generators, and outdoor furniture for our sister company, Holmes Tarp Shop. Different products, same habit: measure carefully, build it to fit, and stand behind it.
